The Products We Can't Live Without

I'm always interested to hear what other parents consider their absolutely must-haves. For some parents, it's certain toys, for others it's a food product. Our top must-haves in our house vary, but these are the things that have gotten the most use in our house over the course of the last 2 years. I'm including links to the products to make for easy shopping (I got you).

  1. The Graco Blossom 4-in-1. When I first opened it, I thought it was a bulky chair. But after finding a corner for it to stay permanently, I have to say this is the most used product in our home. Caleb sits in it for almost every meal. And when I do art projects with him or let him color, he sits in here to keep messes at bay. It has a removable tray, and wheels, so I can also push him up against our counter. It has a booster seat that I used to keep in my car for restaurants where high chairs weren't available, but now we have it set up on one of our dining room chairs so we can have dinner together every night.
  2. The ezpz mat. It sticks to the table surface, so he can't pick up the plate easily and fling it. It also helps me maintain him within proper portions. They also have a bowl and a mini mat, along with a few other products. I love that they are silicon and bonus: microwave and dishwasher safe! Wins all around!
  3. Babyganics Individual Hand Wipes. I keep these everywhere. I have a couple in my wallet, some in my car, a few in the outer pockets whatever bag I am using. They are easy to slip into my pocket when I'm not carrying much, and every mom knows you can never have a wipe handy enough. I even kept two of these in my running pack the day I ran my half marathon, and they came in super handy!
  4. Babyganics Foaming Shampoo & Body Wash. A big plus always goes to anything that's multifunctional. The fact that I don't have to have two products during bath time really makes it much easier. The pump means I don't even have to pick up the bottle, and Caleb can pump some out himself without dumping the whole bottle in the tub.
  5. Munchkin Miracle 360 Cup.  When I transitioned Caleb off the breast, I put him straight on this cup so I wouldn't have to wean him from a bottle. He had a glorious transition and drank his milk out of it right away. He still drinks his milk out of this, every morning and every night. It's easy for him to grip, and he feels like a big boy because he's drinking out of a cup that looks similar to Mom & Dad's cups.
  6. Contigo Autospout Kids Striker Water Bottle. It's not insulated, but its so easy for Caleb to open, and the handle makes it really easy for him to carry.
  7. Crayola Ultra-Washable Crayons & Color Wonder Markers. I try to keep Caleb confined to the high chair when he is coloring and always when he is painting, but sometimes he doesn't want to. The Color Wonder markers are amazing because they only color on special paper, so there are no marks on my couch or floors. The Ultra-Washable crayons have been a lifesaver when on more than one occasion Caleb has decided to color on the walls. I've been able to just wipe it off with a damp cloth.
  8. DoTerra OnGuard Roll-On. If you haven't tried essential oils yet, this is a great one to start with. It's a blend that helps to boost the immune system. I use the roller so it is easy and mess-free, and I actually keep it in my bag all the time. I roll it on the bottoms of Caleb's feet and along the base of his spine when I need to give his immune system a boost. I also use it for myself when I feel a cold coming on!
  9. Graco Sweet Slumber Sound Machine. We would not have made it through the last 2 years without a sound machine. It helps drown out the noise in the rest of the house so Caleb can sleep soundly all night (well not always all night). In looking this up, I've discovered they no longer make them! BUT if you want a cheap alternative to a sound machine, and you have an iPad, iPod, or iPhone lying around that you don't use at night, download the Sound Sleeper app. We use it when we travel and it's a great alternative to an actual sound machine.
  10. Disney Junior. The app, the channel, anything. The shows are age-appropriate and I don't have to worry that he is going to see something I don't want him to see. He learns about space, about doctors, and about problem-solving. We do watch more TV than we probably should in our house, but that is also coupled with lots of free play, arts and crafts, and playing outdoors. I call it a healthy balance.
  11. Crocs. Admittedly, they aren't the cutest shoes ever. But they are so dang practical. They live by our front door, so he can put them on and go outside (with supervision of course) when he pleases. If he gets them dirty, I literally just throw them in the tub with him and air them out to dry. They work for the beach, the park, anything. And they are easy for him to put on and take off himself. Anything that gives me one less thing to do is a plus.
And there you have it! The items we absolutely cannot live without in our house!

I'd love to hear your must-have items - leave them in the comments section below!

xoxo,

Jenise
